Dianna Sutton, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys (CFFK), has been awarded recertification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a professional distinction in the field of philanthropy demonstrating a commitment to personal and ethical standards. The designation is awarded by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, which promotes ethical behavior and serves to preserve and promote philanthropy and volunteerism.

Ms. Sutton, President and CEO of CFFK since 2004, completed the requirements for recertification by demonstrating achievement as a professional fundraiser, continued professional education, service to the field of philanthropy, and volunteer service to the community. She has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive since 1995. Ms. Sutton has over 27 years experience in fundraising and nonprofit management.

“Your commitment to the profession of fundraising, continued professional development, and volunteer service exemplifies what it means to be a true fundraising professional in the philanthropic sector,” said James Caldarola, chair of the CFRE International Board of Directors, in awarding the recertification to Ms. Sutton.

The Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) program exists to foster the development and growth of fundraising by developing certified professionals who can serve as role models in the field. CFRE has certified over 5,600 professionals around the world while promoting international standards in philanthropy. Recertification is required every three years.
