The Community Foundation recently supported “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” a project of Habitat for Humanity of Key West & Lower Florida Keys, in collaboration with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (CIU South), to help residents in need with yard work, home repairs, cleanup, and more. This morning our CEO Jennifer McComb presented an update on the Hemingway Look-Alike Society’s Scholarship Fund at its board’s Annual Meeting. The board is comprised of past winners of the annual Papa Look-Alike competition which has been held since 1981. They cheered in applause when they learned that their scholarship funds held at the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys and College of the Florida Keys have reached a balance of nearly $1.2 million!
